“The true purpose of arts education is not necessarily to create more professional dancers or artists. It's to create more complete human beings who are critical thinkers, who have curious minds, who can lead productive lives." -quote by Kelly Pollock
We want to expand opportunities and help students discover hidden talents. Overall, the arts have the capacity to contribute a variety of benefits to children such as stimulating the brain and thought processes, helping to develop skills needed for success in school and life, fostering self-expression and positive relationships and engaging in learning and academic achievement. All students have a chance to succeed and show their success with the arts.
The Theremin Project: Where Science and Music Meet!
Starting in 4th grade, students are exposed to this electromagnetic instrument through an interactive arts integrated school program. Students not only learn about the musical aspects of using this instrument, but the scientific concepts connected with it as well. This presentation is fun, and aligns with state standards.
Dance Free Weeks
Dance Free Weeks provides one week-long dance training programs—free of charge—in schools. Launched in an effort to bring dance into their lives, students are given access to dance and can experience the power and some of the benefits of it. Lessons align with the state Fine Arts standards, and start during Arts in Education week in September.

AFTER SCHOOL OUTREACH
We offer after school programming in schools that includes either a dance and movement, or drama theater option. Students in K-5 can participate at no cost. There is a student showcase at the end of each program session. We also can bring a movement and music drumming program that promotes health, physical fitness, teamwork, and collaboration skills among kids.
